I was at the West Michigan Wedding Association Bridal Expo this past weekend to help out my friends Ken Stephens and Alex Lovelorn of Mirabella Confections. Ken created this amazing chocolate wedding dress. You can read more about the concept behind the chocolate dress here.
With Valentine’s Day coming up I just could not resist a bit of pink and red! Maybe it’s just the lack of color here in Michigan these winter days that has me wishing for the spring blossoms that are still months away? A good pop of color is a great way to liven up your winter session images toss in a bit of sassy fashion fun and the result will be whimsical portrait treasures that will always bring a smile to your face!

Your weekly installment of What to Wear Wednesday is back! For this weeks fashion fix, I was in a winter comfort mood. Mood not food
…and comfortable and cozy doesn’t necessarily mean zero fashion. This is an eclectic set – a bit of plaid if you want a bolder bright fun feel in your portraits. Then my other loves are texture and SHOES! The other three outfits are really just a variation on the same thing…but add a soft lavender ruffled top and the look goes romantic, change up the jeans to leggings, add tunic styled sweater and pair it all with some fab boots and you’ve gone chic. Flip it all around and with a turtleneck style sweater, some distressed jeans and again some funky boots and you’ve blended cozy with edgy. Isn’t fashion just wonderful!

I’m working on a project and need models. I’m looking for both pregnant ladies and newborns. Sessions will take place in February.
Maternity Models - I’m specifically looking for women expecting a baby who will be in their 8th month of pregnancy (between 34 -37 weeks along) in February. Session models selected will receive a free on-location maternity session done in your home.
Newborns Models - I’m also looking for newborns to photograph in February. Newborns are between 7 – 10 days old. Yes, that is a TINY window of time…but that is want I need. If your baby is due in February by all means fill out the FORM …I know you can’t tell me exactly when she/he will get here but that is okay we’ll work it out. Newborn sessions will be free and be done on-location in your home.
The focus of this project is location maternity and newborn portraits. If selected you (and or your newborn) and your home will be IN the many of the images. If you don’t want a session in your home other options are possible but these will not be “studio” type sessions. The setting is your home, your furniture, your space. If you aren’t sure this is for you and want more details please feel free to contact me directly by e-mail (meg@goodmanimages.com).
A complimentary art 8×10 portrait will be included with each session. As well as a 35% discount on portrait print purchases. However, models have no obligation to purchase any portraits from the session. All maternity models and parents of newborns photographed must sign a model release for commercial use of these images (beyond just my general business use model release).
